【 Background Introduction and Clinical Significance 】 : Cytochrome P450 isoenzymes are the main enzyme system for drug metabolism in the body. The gene polymorphism of CYP2C19 enzymes leads to significant differences in enzyme activity among different individuals. A large number of epidemiological and clinical studies have shown that the polymorphism of the CYP2C19 gene is associated with the efficacy of drugs metabolized by this enzyme, such as clopidogrel and proton pump inhibitors. Patients carrying CYP2C19*2(c.681G>A) or CYP2C19*3(c.636G>A) mutant genes have resistance to related drugs such as clopidogrel, and their drug efficacy and side effects are also significantly different. In the Chinese population, the CYP2C19 allele is mainly of types *1, *2, and *3. The enzyme activity encoded by the *2, *3 alleles is very low. Therefore, by detecting the genotype of CYP2C19 in patients, the type of drug metabolism rate of the patients can be determined, providing a reference for clinicians to reasonably adjust the dosage of medication.
